Retreat

A retreat is a time to step away from daily life, rest your mind and body, and reconnect with yourself.
Studio Gracia’s retreats offer an experiential space for reconnecting with your authentic sense of self through processes such as Movement Medicine® and the Change the Dream Symposium*.
Through dance, dialogue, and time spent in nature, you cultivate self-respect, deepen trust in your body and life, and develop the ability to live authentically in this world.
Three core values of our retreats:
1. A safe and trustworthy space:
Most importantly, it’s about creating a space where each individual’s pace and boundaries are respected. This allows people to confidently explore the freedom of self-expression and expand their familiar, comfortable boundaries.
2. Starting with bodily sensations:
Shift your thinking mind and focus to listen to your body’s sensations. By doing so, you will create a stronger connection between yourself and your body.
3. Reflecting on how to live in this world:
This is not only time to turn inward. By respecting ourselves, we explore how that connects to respecting others and the world. Through processes such as the Change the Dream Symposium, we discover insights and intentions that can be brought back into daily life.
Change the Dream Symposium
The Change the Dream Symposium (Originally called : Awakening the Dreamer Symposium) is an experiential program that reexamines the values of modern civilization, focusing on environmental sustainability, social justice, and spiritual fulfillment. Developed by the international NGO Pachamama Alliance and hosted in Japan by NPO Seven Generations, it encourages transformation through dialogue using scientific data and visual media.

TAKETINA®
Taketina is a rhythm process.
Through polyrhythms*, voice, movement, and bodily awareness, it brings deep stillness, awareness, joy, and connection. No musical experience is required, and in the process we call a “journey,” each person can proceed at their own pace. Starting with the voice, it gradually builds into footwork, clapping, and call-and-response singing.
Participants simultaneously play three different rhythms with their bodies, entering a shared groove together.
What is important is that everyone makes mistakes in this process. Losing the rhythm and returning to it is an essential part of the experience. Taketina was created about 50 years ago by Austrian Reinhard Flatischler, and is now used worldwide in the fields of music education, therapy, meditation, personal development, and peak performance.
“Rhythm is life. Rhythm is one of the oldest and most effective ways to influence and develop human consciousness. Due to modern lifestyles, we tend to lose connection with our inner rhythm. Taketina restores this connection to the healing power of rhythm and our primal movement. Through practice, social, spiritual, creative, and musical capacities awaken and develop.”
– Reinhard Flatischler (Founder of Taketina) –
What is polyrhythm
Purpose of polyrhythm
When rhythms with different beats are played simultaneously, a unique sense of rhythm emerges. Found in traditional music around the world, it has been used in many cultures for healing, ceremonies, and connecting with one’s true essence.

Menarche Ceremony
What is the Menarche Ceremony
The Menarche Ceremony is a ritual in which we, as adults, re-celebrate menarche—the transition from girlhood to womanhood.
By choosing to celebrate it in a way that feels truly meaningful to you, it becomes a ceremony that honors your life and helps restore pride and dignity in being a woman.
The origin of the “Menarche Ceremony” is inspired by the “Flower Dance” practiced by the Hupa tribe of Native Americans for girls who experienced their first menstruation.
In the Hupa ceremony, the entire tribe celebrated a girl’s menarche for ten days. This reflects a shared belief that “menarche and menstruation are something wonderful.” The impact of this experience deeply influenced the girl’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth thereafter.
The Birth of
the “Menarche Ceremony for Adults”
Inspired by this ritual, the “Menarche Ceremony for Adults” was created as a way for women to re-celebrate the menarche they experienced in the past.
Menarche and menstruation occur only in women.Re-celebrating this important milestone of becoming a woman leads to deep acceptance of your younger self and your present self, allowing you to receive necessary healing and inherit pride and dignity.
Another beautiful aspect of this ceremony is that it brings deep healing to all who gather. If one’s experience of menarche was not fully supported or fulfilled, this ceremony can help restore that part of the heart. As ceremonists*, we hope many women will experience it as a way to open further to the joy of living.

Flow Game
What is Flow Game
It is a powerful tool that creates a space for reflection, dialogue, and action for groups, teams, and individuals. Through the game, it helps clarify and empower the foundations of life, leadership, and action, bringing clarity and flow. Flow Game is surprisingly simple, intuitive, and insightful, offering opportunities to explore the present and the future. Participants support and challenge one another, creating a unique shared experience.
Origin of Flow Game
Flow Game was created in Denmark about 30 years ago.
At the time, a group of professionals working on environmental and peace issues needed a tool to develop leaders who could move toward the future they envisioned. They held ongoing meetings in Denmark for nearly a year, exchanging ideas and tools and exploring new paradigms. The result was a game—one that condenses elements that bring clarity and enable important decisions. Through trial and error, Flow Game was born as a way to activate individual and collective wisdom and consciousness.
Since it was first played in San Francisco in 1999, it has been used in various contexts worldwide—by individuals, small groups, large groups, corporate leaders, employees, and in personal development sessions. It has been played in settings such as the European Parliament, schools, and prisons, and there are now over 500 certified facilitators worldwide.
The essence lies in the “question”
Flow Game begins with asking a question.
This “question” is not meant to produce a quick answer. A powerful question opens the door to new perspectives. While some questions are simply for making decisions and moving forward, powerful questions have the ability to bring awareness and transformation. Flow Game is simple and easy to play, which allows participants to open to a broader perspective. Powerful questions can change not only the flow of things but even one’s life. That is why clarifying your question is so important. What question do you have right now?
Highlights of Flow Game
- It provides a space for dialogue and reflection to discover “what is truly needed in your life” and your “next action.”
- By bringing your own “questions” and engaging in dialogue, you can gain new perspectives and insights.
- Rather than competition, it features a mutually supportive approach called the Wisdom Council, where participants share their collective wisdom.
